Extending the user experience

Currently, most of the questions on Slant are very specific. This is useful when people are directly looking for info, but there isn’t a lot of incentive to keep browsing through comparisons. When people come to browse, there should be a logical sequence of comparisons to look at. This can be done by using very general questions to promote more specific comparisons.

One good example of a general question that we already have is “What are the best niche hobbies?”

We could recommend things like electric skateboarding, producing music, programming, or running. In the option’s description, links to relevant questions can be pasted. If someone is impressed with the pros of running, they will be willing to check out best fitness trackers, best fitness apps, and best running earphones.

Basically, there should be comparisons of comparison topics.
