Should there be a default currency standard when providing answers?

It is confusing when one answer is provided in USD, the next in EUR and the third in GBP.

When researching some sites show currency based on the users Geolocation, so to find a specific one a proxy is needed, others just show in their local currency, third has all the options, but say that 1 USD = 1 EUR.

Should there be a guideline, best practices for this?

Right now prices are “hackishly” done just by writing text in the option title. When we have the chance, we want to automatically fetch prices. If we split “price” into its own field we can then also do currency conversions based on IP.

I think for now, the best practise should be 1. Must be consistent for all options and 2: USD unless it’s a localised question.
